Leader slams West’s stance on blasphemous acts against Islam

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has slammed the Western governments’ stance on the recent blasphemous acts against Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

“The position the Western politicians adopted on this great insult [to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)] was in no way different from a position of animosity,” said Ayatollah Khamenei addressing the officials of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in the capital city, Tehran, on Monday.
Ayatollah Khamenei argued that the West’s position on the sacrilegious acts against Islam has revealed the real face of the arrogant powers and indicated their enmity towards Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

The Leader lauded the furious reactions shown by Muslims in various Islamic countries and even across the US and Europe against the sacrilegious US movie and French cartoons.

“The seething movement of the Muslim world in paying homage to Islam’s prophet (PBUP) and expressing deep hatred against the enemies, is a wonderful and very important scene which demonstrates the enormous capacity of the Islamic Ummah’s movement,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.

The Leader urged the Islamic Ummah to exercise vigilance in the face of the enemies’ dangerous plots aimed at sowing discord among Muslims.

“The arrogance front should not be allowed to save itself from the fury of the Islamic Ummah by sowing discord [among Muslims],” Ayatollah Khamenei noted.

“The enemies of religion and arrogant powers should know that despite the different denominations and some theoretical and ideological differences, the Islamic Ummah is united against them,” the Leader added.
